Harold Edouard Little

Harold Edouard Little (American, born 1940) Little is a printmaker and painter living in Fincastle, Virginia. He studied etching in Florence, 1965-1967, where he became a passionate admirer of Leonardo's work, buying an etching press in Bologna to continue what he assumed would be a hobby. He returned home to teach high school English. But in 1971, he returned to Florence to continue his art studies. After a short return to teaching, he chose to follow full-time artistic pursuits, mainly oil painting and etching. He is an ardent admirer of Whistler, concentrating his focus upon urban and rural Virginia scenes in both etching and oil painting. His work is in collections in Ireland, Europe, Canada and the United States. We have 27 etchings in our collection.
